Why Social Isolation and the Military?

I’m Jamie Muskopf, a doctor of social work student, and as a military spouse of 9 years, I’m fighting to end social isolation in our military community. 

If during our lives we’re fortunate enough to have a life partner, we want more than anything for them to have joy, health, and success. 

But today our military life partners are dying by suicide in record numbers and suffering from depression that’s often fueled by social isolation. And as civilian spouses, we are too. 

Let’s stop losing each other by finding a better way. Together.
